Cannabinoid Theraputics

Our CBD based therapeutics are  safe, non addictive and non psychotropic. They provide an excellent means for our clients to experience the sativa plant’s exceptional medicinal benefits. As safe as our community knows the therapeutics to be, we always recommend consulting with a physician,  especially when a client is currently using additional medicines  before adding CBD based therapeutics to their lifestyle. The science of cannabinoid medicines is still fairly new to the majority of the  U.S. Medical community.  If your physician is unsure or unaware of the efficacy of CBD based medicines please direct them to this site or have them contact us, we would be more than happy to provide the information needed for them to make informed decisions on usage and dosage.

Terpenes

Terpenes are found throughout all of nature. They are the molecules most responsible for taste and aroma. In addition to to taste and aroma terpenes provide significant medicinal benefits as well. Over 100 different terpenes have been identified in the cannabis plant, and every strain tends toward a unique terpene type and composition.Secreted in the same glands that produce cannabinoids like THC and CBD, terpenes are the pungent oils that color cannabis varieties with distinctive flavors like citrus, berry, mint, and pine.

It is the terpene’s ability to interact synergistically with other compounds in the plant, like cannabinoids that offer the clearest understanding of the medicinal entourage effect.

The effects vary from terpene to terpene; some are especially successful in relieving stress, while others promote focus and acuity. Myrcene, for example, induces sleep whereas limonene elevates mood. Physically they provide benefits such as the gastroprotective properties of Caryophyllene. This terpene is thought to be largely responsible for cannabis’s extraordinary ability to alleviate nausea and promote the desire to eat.

This entourage effect interacts with the body’s endocannabinoid system in a profoundly beneficial, medicinal way. Cannabinoids bind to receptors concentrated most heavily in the brain where psychoactive effects take place. Terpenes also bind to these receptor sites and affect their chemical output. Terpenes also modify how much THC passes through the blood-brain barrier.

CBD – Cannabidiol

Cannabidiol (CBD) is the most abundant cannabinoid found in Cannabis Sativa. From a medicinal standpoint it plays the most prominent role in what is know as the plant’s entourage effect.  CBD provides all its medicinal benefits without inducing psychotropic effects.  In short; it heals without getting the user “high”.

Studies have shown the unequivocal and profound medicinal value of CBD.  A recent study showed that when cannabinoids were introduced into tumor radiation therapy the tumors virtually disappeared.

In addition to tumor reduction, CBD has been proven to greatly assist in numerous ailments, most notably rheumatoid arthritis, insomnia, nausea, pain and PTSD symptoms.

Most famous to date is its profound effect on certain forms of epilepsy.

We maintain a continuously updated archive of links to the most recently concluded studies involving cannabinoid medicines.  We want our clients to be as well educated on cannabinoid therapies as we are:

CBD – A New Beginning

A little over seventy years ago the majority of humanity lost legal access to Non Psychotropic Cannabis, one of the most effective medicines known to mankind due to misguided beliefs.

The plant can be traced back well over 10,000 years. Its use as a medicine is well documented in Ayurvedic and eastern texts and is still in use with practitioners today.

The veils are fast being lifted by science and unrelenting advocates. Once again, people can start healing through true plant based medicines.

Multiple, recent studies conducted have proven that CBD therapies are incredible sources of relief for millions of people suffering from various forms of inflammation, epilepsy, arthritis, insomnia, pain, PTSD and many others.

CBD, because it doesn’t induce a psychotropic effect like it’s sister THC, does not need a doctor recommendation to purchase.
